Which resort would you recommend as the best trails/hotels/easy to travel to/cost/fun destination?

Whistler seems to be the Mecca but is far and seems expensive, especially including the cost of air travel to Vancouver. What would you recommend, one of the Utah, Colorado resorts?

Whistler really can't be beat.

Have you been to Highland?

no, not been to Highland yet but it's a good idea, not that far. Yes, I know Whistler is the top but top $$ too Smile

Highland is a great place. If you take a trip there you could also hit up a bunch of other resorts within a 3 hour drive. New England is packed with lift accessed bike parks.

you have killington, attitash, sugarbush, mount snow, bromont (quebec), all right in the general area.

Highland is awesome. They've got a bit of everything. Mammoth is super fun too, the dirt (or kitty litter) is way different than anywhere else, and its 3 hours from Northstar at Tahoe, which has a bunch of other fun stuff too if you're looking for a vacation.
