I don't really know anything about them, but I joined hoping I could learn a lot and maybe buy a mtb sometime this year. I have the same name here as on vitalbmx.com, so you've probably heard of me.

For sure. I can't stand regular bmx'ers that say "I hate mtb's" or they're gay. I think MTB is pretty sick, I'm down to buy one to ride on, 20" gets boring after 6 years, time to pick something new up to ride every once in awhile.

i rode mtb's about 13 or 14 yrs ago i dont really know why i stopped?
but i hope to get one next yr. i am also on vitalmx with same name.
oh yeah i am from louisiana and at that time it was hard to get anyone
to do anything so i had nowhere really to ride that is why.

I'm thinking about buying a pretty set up downhill mtb. My buddy bought it back when he was 14, hes 21 now, and bought it from a pro, cant remember the pros name. But it's pretty setup and worth some cash but I can get it dirt cheap. Would it be a good idea to pick it up?

Not at all man. I may come off as an asshole at some points. But I respect anybody that rides bikes, no matter what kind it is. We all love riding bikes and that's all that matters.

I wish I had grown up with BMX prior to riding mountain bikes. Maybe I wouldn't have spent half my life riding before I really learned how to manual correctly.

Haha. Who is this?

And My 20" now has all of the money I could possibly put into it. I'm thinking of buying a 24 or 26" bmx styled bike for dirt jumping, like bmx trails. Any recommendations?
