Cheap hydraulic

The Good:

Insanely cheap brake with proper stopping power. Reach adjust is nice and this brake is actually great for a budget build.

The Bad:

Super hard to dial in correctly for the same lever feel on both sides.

Overall Review:

I bought this brake for just 35,- EUR for a set and I put it onto my rigid fork daily driver. For this use its probably more than needed and therefore delivers great stopping power. The additional reach adjust is pretty nice to have even when it is not tool free. After a full bleed on both brakes I also managed to get the lever feeling right on both sides, this takes some time.

Fortunately replacement gaskets and pistons cost 7,- EUR ordered online so an overhaul of the whole caliper is not expensive. A full service set for the levers is also cheap to get.

If you can get the Elixir brakes slightly used for a low price its definitely worth a look.
