Overall Review:

After trying a few different brands and sizes, I settled on these Answer ProTaper SL carbon bars in their 750 size. Given my 6'3" height, that's rather narrow and decidedly un-trendy, but I found the width to be comfortable for the techy singletrack that I ride in up here in Maine. I'm still borderline too wide for some of the old school trails some here. As far as the bar construction, they seem to be in the stiffer side, but part of that comes from being narrower. Stepping up to the 780 might give a bit more damping. Control feels excellent and now that I've found the right grips (see my review on the Ergon GE1 grips) I'm comfortable on longer rides but still feel precise when pointed when the larger stuff.

Build quality seems excellent and the added touch of having grit molded into the bar where the grips and clamps mount is fantastic. No spinning grips or feeling like you have to over torque those tiny bolts.
