2018 Giant Trance 2 Ride Review & Impression Video

Rating:
The Good:

Spec for price is excellent! || Grip damper in Fox 34 is impressive || Smooth and Plush || Comfortable Geometry for all day riding || Can be configured to do more! || New Meastro Suspension much easier to set up

The Bad:

Noticeable Bob when Climbing || Not the most Stable when the hits get bigger

Overall Review:

Overall this was a great bike and the things I wrote under "The Bad" were very nit picky. What you get for the money is almost too good to be true and if someone wanted to start here and upgrade parts, there is almost no better platform.

2018 Giant Trance 2 XT Drivetrain

Rating:
The Good:

Love both Fox Shocks and all the adjustability. Swapped out the SLX for all XL components including 32T from chain ring and cranks. Went with the Sunrace 11x46 cassette and KMC Gold-SL chain. Love the 2.4" High Roller IIs

The Bad:

Had to change out the seat for a MTB team saddle. Giant saddle was a little tough.

Overall Review:

This bike has taken me to the next level. Very confidence inspiring with its suspension travel and the 2.4" wide Maxxis High Roller II tires. It shreds twisty singletrack, climbs very confidently, and takes rocky/rooty descents like a champ!
