Dylan Wolsky's Instagram bio reads "Jack of all, master of none." But we'd argue he's pretty damn good at what he does. Originally from Australia, the now Squamish local has taken advantage of everything the area has to hone his jack-of-all riding style. We had the chance to follow him down some of the resort's best dirt and his favorite trails including Miss Fire and Delayed Fuse Some. Whistler's Creekside lift is full of steep single track, fresh loam, and roots. What more can you ask for? After torrential downpours followed the EWS the previous weekend, the dirt was on the brink of tacky and muddy while the roots were out in full force. We learned a thing or two watching Wolsky maintain grip through the greasiest of conditions.
Having previously raced in all forms of mountain biking (DH, Enduro, XC, Marathon, and 4x), Wolsky has used his skills to coach in the WORCA (Whistler Off-Road Cycling Association) youth dirt camps during the summer months and has established himself as an ambassador for mountain biking within the Whistler community. Nowadays he's also begun to dive deeper into the storytelling side of the sport. Go check out his photography to get a glimpse into the backcountry trails and zones you won't find by riding a lift, and his full moon ride on our Journal.
