Bike, Hike, Clip In - Bontrager's New Avert Shoe Does it All

Designed for going deep into the wilderness, the Avert has a broad appeal beyond just the bike-packing crowd.

Meet Bontrager's all-new SPD-compatible shoe designed for performance on and off the bike.

The new Avert Adventure Shoe is a versatile, lace-up off-road shoe built for durability on your ride, style when it's over, and comfort on every step of your adventure.

It combines the convenience and control of a clip-in trail shoe with a grippy, more flexible sole designed for traction and comfort when walking or hiking.

"There's more to bike adventures than riding," said April Beard, Bontrager Director of Product for Helmets and Footwear. "This shoe pairs on-bike performance with off-bike comfort. Whether you find yourself stopping mid-ride to explore, hanging around a campfire, or sitting at a coffee shop, the Avert Adventure Shoe is the single stylish and comfortable solution."

The new shoe features a high-traction sole for exploring, a traditional lace closure system with an elastic lace keeper, and durable suede and CORDURA construction. They're available in two color schemes (Sandstorm and Trek Black).

Seriously tough uppers

Avert Adventure Shoe's weather-resistant and breathable CORDURA and suede uppers deliver all-day, everyday durability.

Traction satisfaction

The grippy, shock-absorbing EVA midsole keeps you confident when your adventure has more hike than bike.

SPD-compatible

Avert Adventure Shoe is compatible with SPD-style mountain cleats, but the grippy sole also provides a secure connection when you're riding with flats.

Unconditional Guarantee

Like all Bontrager shoes, Avert Adventure Shoe is backed by a 30-day Unconditional Bontrager Guarantee. Love it or we'll take it back. It's that simple.

The all-new Bontrager Avert Adventure Shoe ($174.99 MSRP) is available immediately on trekbikes.com in select markets and through Trek's wide network of retail partners.
