Taiwan mountain biking

I’m moving to Taipei, Taiwan in January for work for 6 months and was wondering about the mountain biking there. I see there’s plenty of riding around Taipei but it looks like shared hike/bike trails? Should I be prepared for riding in the rain a lot? I’m going to be living in an apartment so that could be fun trying to get the mud off!
