South Florida Trails

Hello everyone. I'm getting back into this after maybe 8-10 years out. 

So a few questions. Full suspension vs HT for Miami? Maybe Markham, Oletta and Virginia key?

Any benefit to 27.5 over 29 with our trails? I'm assuming no due to all the roots. 

Head angles have gotten pretty slack...should I bother trying to get something with this new geometry? I last had a Fuji Nevada in medium. I'm 5ft10-11.
