Just joined VITAL. How long until I can start a thread?

Hey Mods,

Long time lurker, but I just joined VITAL today.  I'm hoping to post a job opportunity for a trail building company that I work for.  I'm guessing it comes across as SPAM when a new user tries to start a thread.  Can someone clue me in on the etiquette for this sort of thing?
