Powder coat or paint

I just bought a kona stinky 2007 and i wanna go through and give it tlc but I don't know if I should powder coat or just paint it. They both are a lot of work I've never had to prep for powder coating but i know you need to use high temp tape and plugs. Just didn't know if anyone had good experience with either or

I've never heard of someone doing their own powder coating, or even the prep. You just pick your company, take them the frame, point out the key areas you want masked and then go back a few days later to pick it up. They'll do all the sand blasting and masking work for you. And it's muck more durable than paint.
