Tucked away from any metro area lies a hidden nugget right in the heart of the Gem State. It's not your conventional bike park on state land where you have all the bureaucracy you'd expect every time you pick up a shovel. Jug Mountain Ranch is a privately owned park and General Manager David Carey has big plans for this place. They don't need permission to hold a shovel but they still use IMBA standards when they build. The property was bought by his father with dreams of becoming a destination one day and that day is here now. A nice new club house sits perched upon a beautiful golf course and many homes are popping up on the edges. Just above the club house lies a dream come true for any mountain bike enthusiast. Over 600 vertical feet and miles of trail for any type of rider.
When we first came here we were a bit skeptical about a bike park/golf course combo but man they nailed it on the head. With a Uni-Mog and Pinzgauer shuttle service and a welcoming crew we were blown away at the hospitality this place offers. Also riding right to the club house after your ride from the top to have some food or a beer sure is nice too. The property backs state land as well so you can just keep riding if thats what your into. Or like us, you can bring the big bikes and shuttle to the top in style in their awesome Uni-Mog. With some great downhill and freeride trails and some awesome XC trails this place won't disappoint. Bring the fam and stay at the Hotel McCall in downtown McCall which is biker friendly and is a stones throw from the Gravity Sports bike shop, lake and 3 breweries. There is also tons of other trails and places to check out that we will show case in our next episode. Don't take our word for it, check it out yourself! - Crew at Ride My Domain
