2021 Cascadia Dirt Cup #2 - Darrington, WA

August 21st brought the Cascadia Dirt Cup to the North Mountain trails outside of Darrington, WA.  This is a newer trail system with shuttling in mind and steep, PNW trails at its heart.  The Race Cascadia crew decided to use everything Darrington has to offer with an 18 mile 4800' of vert day for sport through the pro ranks, with a shorter day for the Enduro Light category.  As always the riders were ecstatic with the opportunity of a big day on the bike, legit trails, and some tasty food and beverages at the end.  At the end of the day Andrew Cavaye and Caroline Jarolimek came out on top of the pro category.  Full results can be found here.

First off a big thank you to all of the volunteers that make these races happen.

James Hultgren dropping into stage 3 on the expert pro course.

Seth Kiser channeling the unicorn's powers on the last stage for the Sport men.

Even though it was a dry and dusty race.... the PNW forest is still lush and green.

I'd be scared too with a sea of eager expert men charging up the hill at me too.

Caroline Jaromilek on her way to winning Pro Women.

Aaron Bradford not so sloth-like in the blown out dust of stage two.
