2021 NW Cup Finals - Port Angeles

September brought the NW Cup family out to always sunny Port Angeles for the final round of the 2021 NW Cup Series.  Over 400 riders came out to the true spirit of the series with laps on Dry Hill, and all the possible conditions present.  The weekend started with dry and dusty loose trails, some rain during Pro seeding on Saturday, and finished up with some of the most perfect PNW dirt for racing on Sunday. The perfect weather, great, riding, and always awesome atmosphere of Dry Hill made for the perfect end to the 2021 season for the Declan Ervin Memorial race.

Lillee Jenkins dominated the year winning the Cat 2 U18 overall.

Mckenna Merten takes the win for Pro Women.

Charley Barrett charging to a top ten in U10 Cat 3 Girls (and yes there were more than enough for top ten!)

Charlie Connell keeping it smooth on white knuckle.

Jagger Bucy on his way to winning Cat 2 15-26.

Cameron Hoessle throwing some style during practice on his way to a podium finish.

William Kieffer charging the 60+ Cat 3.

Mckinley Huhman on the other end of the age spectrum racing Cat 3 U7 Boys.

Make sure to not put your front wheel over the berm or bad things happen as Aiden Neufeld found out.

Best podium of the day?
Family is what makes the NW Cup so special

The kids are going to be all right if they are digging their own jumps while waiting for podiums.

Celebrating Declan Ervin's life at this event each year is such a great honor.  Declan was not only an amazing athlete, he was a respectful, humble young man that truly let his actions speak louder than words. His character and progression through the craft of mountain biking was truly inspiring.

The recipients each year of the the Declan Ervin Memorial Award possiss the character traits and progression that the young star showed us in his short time with us.  This years recipients are Etan Brevard and Julia Lofqvist Traum.
