2021 NW Cup #2 Tamarack, ID

The third round of the 2021 NW Cup series brought racers out to gorgeous Tamarack, IDaho, just outside McCall.  The Tamarack Ski resort played host with some awesome rocky and loose DH tracks.  They kept people humble throughout the hot weekend, with the dust being as slick in spots as any wet point.  Over 400 riders joined each other for the beautiful hot weather and at the end of the race Kailey Skelton and Cole Suetos took the pro podiums, with Ryan Pinkerton and Julia Lofqvist Traum winning JR.X (both with a time that would have put them 2nd in Pro).

Sam Toohey blowing up the off camber and keeping it pinned.

Ezekial Cramer coming in 4th in Pro Men

Jacob Guyer finding the fast line through the rocks

The views the whole way down the course were shall we say distracting... With the lake being a refuge from the heat every day after practice stopped.

Josh Mcelrath loving the wall ride in Cat 2.

Kailey Skelton ripping through the lower turns and keeping it low off the Volcom Jump

Cole Suetos taking the fast line and gapping the rocks on his way to the Pro Mens win.

Mattox Ochoa loving the Cat 2 wallride.

Jens Frazer (Cat 3 8-10) and Pat Eilert (Cat 3 60+) giving each other a run for their money. The age rage at the NW Cup is unprecedented with riders from 5yrs old to their 60s all racing.

Finley Kirschenmann taking the win in Cat 2 15-16 will style to spare

Some days just don't go as planned. The rock garden at the top of the Cat 2 course caught quite a few people out during practice.

Austin Gibbons, low and fast headed to 12th in Cat 3 11-14.

Jackson Larson full pinned and full concentration.

Julia Lofqvist Traum headed to Jr.X Women Win.

Over 400 riders and their familyies enjoyed the gorgeous weather in Tamarack Idaho.

Demetri Triantafillou with an unfortunate OTB in the middle rocks during his race run. A dropped chain and crooked seatpost didn't help a quick recovery.
