Hello all, I’ll try to make this short.
Girlfriend has a Ghost Lanoi 27.5 FS MTB she bought used about a year ago.
Currently has SR Suntour 130 coil fork and 130mm travel Suntour Shock.
Looking to upgrade it to a 140/150mm fork and shock before the season starts back up, and I will have her on a lot of downhill parks (Snowshoe, Bryce, Ect.) but also will be hitting local stuff with some climbing as well.
I read it’s best not to go over 20mm of travel upgrade on a bike or you can break the frame, ect.
So I’m looking at these 2 forks and am trying to decide which one would be better for what we will be doing.
She won’t be hitting any big jumps, but will definitely progress into clearing the smaller and average sized tables until she gets a new bike better for DH in a year or 2.
The forks have never been rebuilt and to be honest it’d just be cheaper to upgrade. I want her to like the bike.
What yall think?

The Bomber, no question. Better damper, better chassis. They put Judys on pathway bikes. 🤮
I don't know what to say about the shock. If she's light enough it might not matter.
I'd also look at better tires if she's still on the stock ones. More control = more confidence = happy rider.
Thanks man I really appreciate the reply!
Haha I figured with how cheap they were that something was up! Definitely going with the bomber.
She’s pretty light so yeah probably will be fine.
I’ll definitley get some new tires on there since they are original I believe.
Forks, grips, tires, and some new flat pedals and it’ll be ready to rip!
Thanks again 😎
