Hey guys. I'm considering buying a used Scott Spark in a medium. I'm 5ft10 and I'm often in between M and L but I'm curious if anyone knows if this size will be good. My inseam is like 31.
I recently passed by the LBS and they didn't have a Spark or I would've checked it out but I saw the Stance and Trance and the large is huge to me.
If its anything like the previous Spark's(I have a 2013), they seem to have fairly short reach from what I can tell. I expected my large to be bigger. Although being more of a XC oriented trail bike, I'm not surprised. I do like how it's relatively compact however.
At 5'10" you might prefer a L and use a shorter stem rather than a M and needing a long stem making it sketchy descending. Also depend on what nars you'll use. the stock bars I think are still rearward swept with no rise. Vs, more typical trail bars with 30-40mm rise. I may still swap out my bars.
