No Gwin is setting the pace for the world cup... as far as countries its a toss up between Britain and New Zealand... Those two controlling the circuit... Hell even South Africa is ahead of us per say with needles and greg...
On a good day the next american is Luke Strobel and you just never know about Duncan... But watch out for Neko Mulally and Richie Rude next year for sure...
Gwin is also bringing a lot of dedication and commitment to the table. He is most likely training harder than anyone else, he is on a strict diet, he doesn't drink or party for that matter, and he takes his racing pretty seriously. If you watch him on podiums he usually does not drink the wine, he just sets it down. The guy wants it more than anyone out there, and has been willing to go any length to get there.
