hi

looking at a build mainly focused on weight. since i dont weigh much, durability wont be a big concern.
heres the blueprint:

Foxshox 831
fsa headset (tapered)
gravity light stem
havoc bars
longneck grips
xt brakes
haven wheels
hussefelt crankset
kenda small block 8
kmc chain
thanks!!!

Find out if Easton has a single speed rear hub option. An evenly dished hub is way stronger than a standard wheel dished for gears. That's why the whole 150mm spacing for DH hubs came about. I can't believe how many freestyle pros run standard hubs. Contracts. If Easton doesn't, consider having a rear wheel built up on their rim with either a high zoot Profile or a generic single speed hub from Taiwan. Stremph. Other than that, I'm a Rock Shox fan. Short Lyric with a Potts mod.

with the current build i probably wont be able to afford another rear, however, would a havoc 150 ust do good? Also thinking going pimplite or spoon 32
Thanks!!!

I'm not so familiar with all those new fangled wheel sets. I just assumed that you would be building it up single speed, seeing as the frame is made for it with the suspension pivot around the BB and being that you're from Aptos. Unless you're made of money, Easton wheels seem kind of expensive for a bike made for slopestyle. I'd say go with the Spanks as they're lighter than Pimplights and I've heard they're pretty strong. (Also, this post might be better suited to the Dirt/Park/Street section, for future reference.)

I'm not a Spesh fan and haven't been paying attention. Dunno.
