Dusty, Steep, Technical, Loose, Rad, Insane, Fast...
All these describe the amazing track at Mt. Beauty, it is always such a pleasure to go to a race that has the whole town backing the race.
This season saw a track that hadn't been run for a while, the old nationals track. 300 odd riders took on the beast, giving it there best shot to stay on and get down the mountain the quickest.
Being such a renowned track, plenty of interstate riders made the trek over, elite was set to be an interesting one, with the panozzo brothers out from there secret den to show the outsiders how true locals do it, finishing in 3rd and 4th, not a bad weekend for them. Jesse Beare was very disappointed with his run at Shepparton and was hoping for a much better result, he flew down with style and landed himself a 5th. Tim Eaton was coming off stoked from a win at shepparton, and was loving the track, he gave it his all in his race run and ended up snapping 2nd place. This track suited Connor Fearon a lot and he was so keen to just keep riding it, but race time came along and after qualifying first by over 5 seconds, he was saying he could go even faster in his race run..... he came pinning down the shute with the whole crowd cheering him on, taking the win in elite men!!
As always, Dean Lucas... wow. This kid is a superstar! he came down through the shute faster and crazier than anyone else, taking the U19 win and placing him second overall for the day behind Connor.
