Roost DH: Mountain biking in the winter sun! 1

With more and more riders choosing to head to Southern Spain for a healthy dose of sunshine and shredding it’s left to the boys over at RoostDH to keep providing fresh, new tracks for the punters to get their teeth stuck into.
Alex Bond and Emyr Davies (the latest RoostDH recruits) ride the brand new track just finished by the team.

Cool video, I bet it was nice to get down there and ride some dry trails in that climate!

I was wondering if anyone had considered that it was a bad idea to throw roost point is that when you ride like that you destroy the trails by skidding and powersliding through stuff.

Where I live, when you ride like that, on the edge of control, you give land managers more reason to build the bs trails with machines that are boring. We lose the technical aspect of mountain biking that necessitates having a full suspension bike at all by riding one like a jerk.

This is a sticky subject. Where do you draw the line between advancing your own riding and skills, while at the same time ensuring that everyone gets to enjoy riding for the same reason that you do? That is, if you're a guy, or girl, who lives to ride, you want to rip, right?

Skidding and throwing the rear end around looks cool on video, but this needs to stop. This mimicry is hurting our access and makes us look like dumb jocks.
