I kinda like the Scott bikes usually but here it looks like they did a lot wrong.. It looks like this bike is designed for kooks that drive a lifted raptor to drive to the grocery store...

Maybe take out the rocker pivot bolt, remove either side of the rocker (expecting it has a splined interface going into the internal rocker) and pull it out together with the shock? Guessing here though.

Probably the same way you'd do it on a Bold or a Spark.

Yeah that would make sense, i mean I'm sure they've thought about it. And who knows maybe you won't have to service it as often without dust/mud getting up in there.

It's an inline shock hidden inside the frame on a 160 mm e-bike. I'd say a full rebuild every 50 hours is the right way to do it :D

Nope. More weight for an inline, 160mm shock to handle for chunky descents, hard to service systems and brake lines though the headset? Get bent Scott, how many people are actually asking for this shit?

Nobody is asking for it, everybody will want it. Except mechanics

The fact that they still use an inline shock on bikes like this (and the Ransom for example) is also completely inconceivable. And rotating the motor to achieve a lower CoG? How exactly?

Theyve got a good line up. Their 180/180 bike is pretty sweet. This one has a lot of fail. Shocks get hot , more so on a 160 bike than a 120 because itll see longer dh runs, so this makes no sense. Emtb doesnt need those shock adjust levers. Emtbs, more than mtb's, need external cables/brakelines because its an added pita routing around a motor. That stem cable system is a hard pass on the bike unless theres an external alternate option
The CoG is lower with the motor turned because it allows that larger battery to sit lower than it otherwise would. It may allow a shorter cs too, not sure on that.
Their bikes could use flip chips and dropout chips to run mullet, shorten/lengthen cs, slacker/steeper rather than useless shock levers. Im more apt to leave my shock full open when im climbing unless im on pavement or its super smooth

Gonna give those mechanics a lot of work though now and into the future. Can't imagine there will be a lot of home mechanics buying that bike.
