Raw 100 is a video series designed to highlight the talent and creativity of filmmakers. It's said that simplicity is the ultimate sophistication, and this series celebrates that idea. The rules for each video are simple: 100 seconds in length, no slow motion footage, and no music. By having to work within these limitations, filmmakers have to get creative and think outside the box. In this Raw 100 video, Scott Secco delivers a video featuring Mike Hopkins that will make you want to grab your enduro bike and hit the trails.
Bread amidst the hipster capital of Canada, Scott Secco has skirted the Victorian mould. Choosing to sidestep the vintage clothing and the prescription-less tributes to Buddy Holly. Trading the irony of the “uncool” for muddy boots, a dusty camera bag, shovels, axes, a Dodge Caravan, motivation, and a serious amount of talent behind the lens. After the release of his first feature film Builder, photographer Bruno Long and all-around athlete Mike Hopkins decided that it was time for Scott to get his beak wet in the backcountry. Not one to shy away from a challenge Scott departed on his first unsupported multi-day trip with one goal in mind. Capture a true experience in the mountains.
