Watching the video on Vital is two fold. It assists the independently owned mountain bike website not hidden behind a paywall like PinkBike is about to be & it sends traffic to Neko's YouTube.
Telling people to circumvent Vital to watch it does NOTHING to help. If Vital is gone, guys like Neko have no media outlet to promote their video releases & then YouTube can control all of Neko's video revenue because they would be the only way to learn he has a new release.

It's bad for Neko AND Vital if you cut straight to YouTube. Gives the corporation the power to dictate to the content creators.
