Purgatory Bike Park | 2020 Summer Trip

I rode my Mondraker Factor the entire day, 120mm of travel, while we rented Liam a 24” Rocky Mountain Reaper. I could have used more travel and a bit more relaxed geometry, but I still had a blast. Liam took to the Reaper really well, though it was a tad big for him. I don’t think you need a full on downhill rig for two days at Purgatory, 6”-7” of travel with some enduro geometry would give you all you need.

Divinity Flow Trail was fun, but not what I want to ride all day. I want the more technical single track, with rocks and roots, that Diggler and Pirate Trail offer. The World Cup Trail that follows Lift 1 down the mountain looks like it would be a gnarly piece of trail to ride. It has fast and flowy turns, natural rock drops and some steep off-chamber to keep your attention. I hope I can make it back to ride that trail, and any others they open, next time to the mountain.
