Prepping for the 2014 Downhill World Cup in South Africa - Prototype 27.5 Nukeproof DH Bike for Team CRC 10

With the opening round of the 2014 World Cup series just a handful of weeks away in South Africa, we're starting to see some interesting new prototype mini-downhill bikes pop up. Last year Stevie Smith showed great promise on his custom 165mm travel Devinci and Jared Graves took an incredible 3rd place on his Yeti SB66, proving the concept. Brendan Fairclough has also been prepping a Scott Genius LT for the upcoming race. Team Chain Reaction Cycles is the latest to join the party, this time with a 27.5 Mega AM that has been heavily customized to meet their team's needs. Will any of these ever see production? Maybe, but the chances are slim given the limited market. We'd definitely love to throw a leg over one though. After hearing about the new bike in the video above, tune into this video to hear the rider impressions. Does 27.5 have a place in DH? Head over to Dirt Magazine for the full scoop.
