A Neighborhood Rut Track Session with Cam McCaul, Kyle J, and Carson Storch 7

Sad, we know, but the awful truth is that winter is here. If you’re not one of those powder-hounds praying for snow then these dark months can be downright depressing. In an effort to have some fun, The Loam Wolf got together a few riding buddies to make a rut track.

There's no better way to hone your cornering skills and have a good time during the winter months!

No sir. Anything we built is long gone (15+ years ago) and definitely not sweet!

Reminds me of our warm up rut at the top of the Freedom 40 trails. I was kinda expecting more of a flattish pump track type thing. One can generate speed from pumping a rut just as well as a berm. Why dig 'em when you can just ride 'em in?

Wow, that looks fun. Imagine if there was a discipline of mountain biking that involved a track similar to that. We could race down them. Wait, it could be even better if there were two tracks right next to each other! Then the races could be head to head. The racers would love it, and it would be really spectator friendly. We could even add it to the world cup rounds. Wow, that would be cool. If only something like that could ever exist...
