Bariloche Argentina hosted the first ever iXS DH Cup event held in Latin America. long time event sponsor, SPANK Industries teamed up with the team at EVO Sports Bari and Ride SRL to bring the Whip Off to the venue. Spectators from all corners of the continent made the trek to Bariloche to see South America’s best gravity athletes compete in the event. Huge air, big whips and a rowdy crowd made for one hell of a party at Bike Park Cerro Catedral. At the end of the day Ecuador’s Mario Jarrin took the top spot in the first ever SPANK Whip Off, South America.
South America's top DH and FR athletes were invited to compete, earning points for amplitude, style, degree of whip and landing. Riders hit a three pack of jumps including a 40ft sender to showcase their moto-whip skills.
Mario Jarrin threw down the sickest whip of the contest netting him the top spot on the podium.
Sebastian Alfaro's huge degree of rotation earned him the runner up position.
Huge amplitude earned Felipe Augurto a spot in the top three.
