Transcontinental Headliners 2 - Mont Sainte Anne 1999 World Cup DH 7

One of the most epic, all-time tracks that still graces the UCI World Cup circuit today, Mont Sainte Anne, gets a beating from the best mountain bike downhill racers. As Colin Bailey put it, "who ever wins here has the biggest nuts, basically."

Pft, you need wide bars to go fast... my ass. Guys were going fast long before wide bars came around.

You don't need suspension to go fast either.... horses for courses, but Peat, Nico, and CG seem to be happy running wider bars, shorter stems, and slacker geometry on their modern bikes.

Well it's better riding for sure but I'm only meaning that to the kids who think they need this or they need that top-of-the-line-whatever to go fast... pet peeve, sorry.
