Built for Speed: Dakotah Norton on the Devinci Wilson 29 7

Once limited to select Pros, Devinci's flagship downhill race bike is now available for all. Curious to learn a bit about the Wilson 29, what it offers riders, and to see it in action, we met up with World Cup-ripper Dakotah Norton at Whistler Bike Park for some insight and inspiration. It's amazing to watch Dak throw around this 29-inch downhill bike like it's no big deal, even with Flat Tire Defender tire inserts, and multiple Top 10 finishes this season speak to the bike's ability to absolutely haul.

A few questions.

1. At 50 seconds "We had to bring in a 29er DH bike" Why? because 29ers are dominating DH? Is the demand there?
2. After long, low, slack and 29" what's next?
3. Flipchips / adjustable geo, do average riders tweak this at all?

The demand is completely there, especially for taller guys (I am not one at 5'-8"). Many guy I know who shred hard are ridding newer gen 29" trail/enduro bikes and a few have 29" DH bikes. They love them . Devinci provides both 27.5" and 29" Great day for choices. Racers play with flip chips a good bit depending on the courses...even average racers.

That “we have too”
Sounded a lot like when spesh “ had to “ make 27.5 bikes , even thoungh they were very convinced 29 ers are better remember the frase “ the bigger the better”?
They were right with 29 ers, I know is about taste but 29 ers are going far. Now even Aaron Gwin has one.
I am 5,11 And would definetly change my V10 if I find that V10 29 er is more fun. ( don’t care that much for those extra milisecons ) so just faster will not do it for me, I care for fun and some aline jumping

Crap. I was up at Whistler a few weeks ago. Let's just say me going thru the D1 line isn't quite as smooth and steezy as Dakotah's. Haha!
