$149 MIPS-Equipped Full-Face Helmet, Prototype Knee Pads and Body Armor from SixSixOne 2

661 has introduced a new full-face helmet that is MIPS-equipped at Eurobike. The MIPS system they're using in their Reset lid is not the typical yellow plastic cage. 661 gained access to a slick (literally and figuratively) MIPS design that is thin, comfortable and meets the same standards as the yellow one we're used to seeing. The cherry on the top is that the Reset MIPS helmet only costs $149.

They're also showing off some prototype knee and upper body protection. The Recon Advanced kneepad features a removable plastic shell that attaches with Velcro. Long, hot ride ahead? Take the cup off and stash it for the descents or leave it at home. Shorter, rowdier rides? Keep it on for maximum protection. They're refining pad and cup (which may feature articulation) before it hits production. The Recon Advanced jacket is slender, lightweight upper body armor that uses koroyd insert similar to what's used in Smith helmets. While the koroyd insert is a one-time-impact material, it's light, replaceable and removable. Release and price are TBD.
