Straitline SC Platform Pedal
The Good

Super Strong bodies and axles, deep concave gives super grip and feel

The Bad

Not for weight weenies

Overall Review
I've run mine on DH around 6 an 4X for about 3 years in wet muddy UK Conditions and never had to touch them. The bushing system over bearings means the axles can be made thicker and MAN are they strong. True Story, on a ride in Scotland I got bucked in a rocky section. I came down totally off kilter all over the bike an ended up sliding down a large, smooth off camber rock section grinding on my downside pedal. Sparks flying an rode it out! My pedals just shrugged it off.. The thick body has a super deep concave that coming from BMX, I find more important for grip and feel than any amount of...

Straitline AMP Flat Pedal
The Good

They're shiny TI axle Light

The Bad

I've had these pedals for about 3 years now and in those 3 years I've hated every minute of them. I shelled out the big bucks for the TI axle so I figured I'd tough it out. The biggest issue for me anyways is the height of the actual axle itself across the pedal. It's raised just high enough to feel...

Overall Review
Overall I'd recommend these for somone with a smaller shoe size. If you're a size 10 and up go for a wider based pedal. For the money they aren't worth the discomfort.

Straitline Defacto Flat Pedal
The Good

Super glue for your feet, good looks, and durability.

The Bad

A bit clunky compared to many alternatives.

Overall Review
Function The first cool thing about these pedals is that you can break them down without any tools. Straitline did some really neat engineering on this project. You could find a rock just about anywhere that would be enough of a tool to break these down. I didn't end up needing to do any service on them during the 4 years, but it is nice to know you can do that if you need to. The 14 pins on each side of the pedal will keep you glued on to the bike. You better hope you stay glued on because the pedal bite from these will take some serious skin off your shins. They are a bit heavy but I would...

Straitline SSC Stem
The Good

Stiff, durable, fairly light, nice machining, low stack height

The Bad

Pricey and might be overkill for some situations

Overall Review
Definitely one of the more pricey components I have purchased primarily for looks, but the function surprised me as well. I have always tried to purchase from smaller companies that produced products in-house instead of sending overseas, and Straitline does just that. Working for a bike manufacturer has shown me just how loose tolerances can be on products made overseas and how cheaply they are produced. There is of course is exceptions to this, but generally products made in house in places like the Uk, US, or Canada (like Straitline) use better raw materials, more machining and give you a...

Straitline SSC Stem
The Good

Beautifully machined, Very stiff, Very light weight for it's design.

The Bad

No 35mm version, Kinda Pricey

Overall Review
Purchased the Straitline SSC stem a few years ago and looking back, it has been my favorite stem. I had it installed on a Trek Slash and was perfect for my purposes. It was very stiff, yet very light in weight. In a world were these two are insanely important, this stem really shined. The craftsmanship of this piece was beyond impressive as well. It was beautiful. All of Straitline products are beautiful. Mountain biking seems to be an industry with infinite standards, my only complaint is that Straitline currently doesn't have this stem available in a 35mm diameter. All of straitline...

Straitline SC Platform Pedal
The Good

Very Durable, Good Grip, Easy Maintenance

The Bad

A Bit Heavy Compared To Others

Overall Review
I have had these pedals for several years and they have held up great even without any rebuilds. The bushings may not spin as freely as pedals with bearings, but under foot I do not notice that at all. They have held up to countless rock strikes and the spindles are both still very true. As one noted, if you use them frequently in wet weather, you will need to take them apart every once in a while to clean and use a slight amount of grease. It only takes a few minutes for each pedal to do so and all you need is a small flat blade screw driver to get the clips off. I have found they have good...

The Good

strong, many color options, good looks

The Bad

on the pricey side

Overall Review
I've been running 2 of these on separate bikes for the last two years. This is a hands down gorgeous stem. Straitline was way ahead of the curve when they came out with this stem. There are many color options and it's a great accessory to the cockpit if you're looking for bike jewelry. It's perfect for handling DJ, All-mountain/enduro/ DH duties. While it's not the lightest stem in its class, it's also not the heaviest either. While it's one of the few stems I would put on my bike, Straitline has a lot more competition these days (thomson, easton havoc, spank, to name a few) that are at a...

Straitline Silent Guide Bashring
The Good

silent and reliable.

The Bad

maybe a little bit heavy due to the aluminum bash ring, this is not a negative for me.

Overall Review
The name says it all. This guide is in fact silent, I have been using it all season and have yet to have a problem. The chain stays on , and the best part is there is no roller bearing to go bad. some people may feel it is too heavy due to the aluminum bash ring. This is not a negative for me , I have a habit of breaking taco style guides, this guide is rock solid.

Straitline SSC Stem
The Good

Strong, light, clamps on solid, slides on steerer tube without any resistance, many colors available, looks good.

The Bad

The 2 bolts that clamp the stem to the steerer tube have rusted on mine.

Overall Review
This is one of the best stems I've used. I basically installed it and never had to even think about it again. I like short stems, so the 35mm option is why I got this one (I had a Thomson 50mm that was great also, just too long for my liking). The only issue is the rust on the inside of the two steerer clamp hex bolts, but it doesn't concern me (just figured I'd note it here). I'd highly recommend this stem, mine has lasted years and is still going strong. Actually, I'd recommend all Straitline products, I have the De Facto pedals too and they're as solid as this stem!

Straitline SC Platform Pedal
The Good

Durable, super easy to service, bombproof

The Bad

Price, not super thin, weight

Overall Review
Some say they drag because they run on bushings rather then bearings, this is almost not noticeable. I have run them dh and enduro for three years and never been bothered with this. Maybe serviced them once a year or even less, no play and very little friction. Also I do not grease them as other reviewers have mentioned as the bushings are self lubricant. They are basically fit and forget.

Straitline SSC Stem
The Good

Strong, light and looks great are the good features of this stem. I believe those features came from the the material, design and how it been manufactured. The power transfer from your body to the handlebar and front wheel is effective.

The Bad

There are few features that i dont like about this. those are the tag price ...seller price ... and .take out price..

Overall Review
I highly recommend this as the chosen stem for enduro, aggresive AM, single crown's Freeride, light dh and DJ. So far i really feel confidence to take out berm and fast speed single track, and i control my bike through this stem not the other around.

Strength and design

The Bad

You'll pay for quality here

Overall Review
The edgy angles are the first thing you admire about this work of art but it won't be the last. The simple, no fuss design is easy to install and the strength is something you'll never question as you rip the sketchy line you've been eyeing. The one thing I would like to see is more sizes please: 42 mm would fit nicely between the 35 and 50 mm options.

Straitline Silent Guide Bashring
The Good

the good: reliable, no maintenance needed ,and the most resistant i have ever used

The Bad

the only thing that could be better its the price ,but by the fact that you praticly don't need to change nothing because it wont break it's worth the price .

Overall Review
i used to have an e.13 LG1+ and i braeck the taco and it had 1 or 2 cracks on the upper side, this one i have landed with the chain ring on rocks and it didn't break, its like new the best guide ever and i don't want to change it for an other.

Super quite clean awesome look no problems in any weather!

The Bad

the setup guide it comes with is not the proper way to set it up, make sure when you install it both top and bottom sliders touch the chain to ensure the silent effect and runs as smooth as possible

Overall Review
Best guide ever silent, andreliable tired many guides and this one works the best I love it you need it!

The Good

Strong, light weight, quiet, looks legit

The Bad

Had to by extra rubber guides to get the color I wanted

Overall Review
I have been searching for a chain guide bash gaurd combo that works well for a while now. They either fit poorly, sound horrible, are too bulky, or just look like junk. The Straitline really caught my eye and from the second I got it and put it on I knew I had made a great purchase. ebikestop.com had it on sale. After riding with it I have no complaints only praise for this great piece of engineering. It is such a simple design and just looks and functions so well. I highly recommend purchasing one. If you have Saint cranks you will need to get the one that is set up for saint cranks.

Straitline SC Platform Pedal
The Good

Exactly as 'Kampfkoloss' said.

The Bad

Exactly as 'Kampfkoloss' said. Even with a good greasing, they can feel a bit grindy/draggy when pedalling. Weight. Clearance.

Overall Review
I am being lazy here, but I can only echo what was already said. They are good, but not amazing. With the rotating drag, these are not great for efficient pedalling, but are amazing with their grip for the downs. I guess that's why Straitline release the AMP to fill that void.

Straitline SC Platform Pedal
The Good

-they are VERY durable if you keep them greased (even after 2 seasons not a bit of play -(re) build takes less then 3 minutes and is easy (no need for specific tools, a small flat screwdriver and grease is all you need) -grip is very good -pins don't break easily

The Bad

-they need a lot of maintenance (I would say 2 times per month, especially after muddy rides)

Overall Review
These Pedals need a lot of maintenance (cleaning and re-greasing the bush bearings on the axle), but if you do that 1-2 times a month, the Straitline Flat will last 5 years minimum.
