MRP Stage Fork
The Good

Small bump sensitivity, ramp control, travel adjustments

The Bad

Can be a bit tricky setting up at first. Refer to MRP for how to step by step.

Overall Review
Having ridden Pikes and 36s previously, the MRP Stage is up there and can hang with the big players. Loved the ramp control for on the fly adjustments. Riding jumps or G outs in a ride? Click a few more turns to go more progressive. Small bump sensitivity is great and feels close to a Pike. Only negative I found was the initial setting up of the fork, as it is different compared to what I was use to. Basically, you have to equalize the air chambers so takes a little more getting use to. Great fork, would recommend to anyone.

MRP Ribbon Air Fork
The Good

Near infinite adjustability, high performance damper, light weight, superb overall performance.

The Bad

Lots of adjustments can be overwhelming, and it takes a little time to get it dialed. Not quite as stiff as a Lyric.

Overall Review
The Ribbon offers more adjustability and performance than any other fork on the market while still coming in at a relatively light 4.2 lbs for the 29 version. With the FullFill negative/positive air springs you can dial in the amount of suppleness you like, using less air in the negative chamber to make it firm off the top or more air to maximize small bump compliance. Then with the Ramp Control you can dial in the progressivity, so you can have a fork that's super supple off the top but resists bottoming out on big hits, or go the other way and make it firm for pedaling, but able to use full...

MRP 1X V3 Chainguide
The Good

Initially quiet while it works

The Bad

Too flexy to keep chain in place. no longer quite once you loose the rubber inserts

Overall Review
When the chain do pop out - it shoves the guide upward and ripps the rubber inserts out. since it's on a nerrow-wide chainring - you need a tool to remove the useless guide to reinstall the chain. now your race run is over, the rubber inserts are lost garbage somewhere in the bushes, and the guide is no longer quite and is completly worthless.

MRP SXg Chainguide
The Good

Works remarkable well, Bridges the gap between G4 and AMg systems, Easy to install

The Bad

Top of the line guide that comes at a hefty price

Overall Review
When getting into mountain biking, there are components that are mandatory for riding like wheels, frames, and forks and then there are other components that improve the quality of riding, improve your performance, and keep your bike running the way it should. I would classify chain retention systems as part of the later. Although through the improvement of other components we don’t see them as common, there is certainly a time and place for chain guides. MRP, one of the chain guide kings, came out with the SXg model not too long ago and it’s said to be one of the best, most widely versatile...
