The Good

Comfortable, close fitting pads with DH level protection. The impact padding is top notch and the aramid cloth outer will slide rather than dig in.

The Bad

No zip, for that get the K Pact Zip version. Long term durability yet to be proven

Overall Review
Ion have got almost everything right with these slip on knee pads. The Sas-tec impact foam is comfortable and reportedly one of the best at absorbing impact energy. The pads consist of a perforated neoprene sleeve with a mesh layer over the outside and a soft lining. The primary padding is around the knee and extends slightly below the knee cap. There are also two smaller pads on each side of the main pad to protect the sides of your knees. Overall Review
I bought these on sale to give them a try. I normally use 5-10 but find I kill the soles very quickly. I weigh 240 pound (105kg). The shoes are comfy when standing and pedalling on the bike. They are easy to get on and off; by this I mean the laces loosen and tighten, without having to pull more lace through tight holes to remove them. I find the grip on the pedals absolutely fine, but I am heavy, so when I’m riding the bike stays pretty planted on the ground and I don’t get bucked much.
