Easton Havoc 26" UST Wheelset
Vital Review
Overall Review
by AJ Barlas The lightest aluminum downhill specific wheels on the market?! That should be enough to pique your interest, as it did for this individual just over a year ago when Easton announced their latest DH wheel. Now add in the fact that these are being raced all over the world under the likes of Steve Smith, Sam Blenkinsop and Loic Bruni, and these wheels certainly deserve your attention. When the opportunity presented itself to attempt to crush a set by ripping about the classic Whistler Bike Park trails for a few months, you can bet that I jumped at the opportunity. Havoc UST 150...

Easton Havoc 35 Aluminum Handlebar
The Good

Reasonably light, no flex

The Bad

None found

Overall Review
I've used these bars for at least three years with no complaints. These were my first bars over 710mm, so I can't compare them to much other than the rise sweep and flex are perfect for me. Recently I tried some Spank bars that were 40mm rise and 10mm wider and after many attempts at trying to like them went back to my trusty old Eastons. I'm not saying they are better than market leaders like Renthal Fatbars as I haven't used them, but the Eastons with between 10-20mm stack height are ideal for me..

Easton Haven Alloy Handlebar
The Good

Strong, looks good, width is perfect for trail riding.

The Bad

Not as light as carbon?

Overall Review
I've been running these bars (711mm wide) for over 2 years with the Haven 80mm stem. Definitely well made and strong, and have stood up to some fantastic abuse. The width is ideal for the average rider on any trails from XC to AM. For downhill I'd be looking for something a tad wider, but these are perfect for about anything else. The paint and finish is on par with the higher end Easton stuff, and it looks good when paired with their Haven stem. Bottom line is that these are strong, hold controls and levers, and help you steer the bike. Sweet!

Easton Havoc Alloy Handlebar
The Good

Subtle looks, damping, light weight, shape, width

The Bad

Expensive, I guess, but relative to other carbon bars, they're not so bad.

Overall Review
Love these bars - they're light, the graphics are subtle and not in our face, the shape, width, sweep, everything is just "right". Had them on the DH bike first, liked them so much I got the same setup for my trail bike. One unexpected benefit was the damping - I don't notice any flex in use, but on a holiday after four days uplift riding over rocky terrain, my hands weren't tired/cramped and I had no arm pump. Worth the money for that alone.

Easton Havoc 26" UST Wheelset
The Good

light weight, smooth rolling, low maintenance hubs

The Bad

proprietary rims, difficult to find spokes, soft rims

Overall Review
This review is for the previous generation havoc wheel set with a 135mm rear wheel. The Havoc wheel set should be used for trail, all mountain or smooth bike park riding. I have been happy with the performance of these wheels when used for these intended purposes. These wheels roll very fast and smooth especailly when set up ghetto tubeless (Maxxis Minion DHF EXO sealed up just fine). The problem is that it's way too tempting to run them for DH and that's where durability of the rim becomes an issue. I have replaced a pair of rims riding DH. On the other hand, the hubs have been flawless after...

Easton EC70 Trail 26-inch Wheelset
Vital Review
Overall Review
by Nick Zuzelski Carbon wheels are all the rage as of the past few seasons, but with their high cost, it's still a commodity seen more often on factory pro level bikes and in the wish lists of your everyday rider. Easton kept that in mind while creating the all new EC70 Trail Wheelset, trying to come up with a new price point offering for the trail riding enthusiast. I've been putting these wheels through some all-mountain abuse the past few months and it's time to fill you in on how they've performed. EC70 Trail Highlights The EC70s roll on Easton's proven M1 hubs. Featuring 24 straight-pull...

Easton Havoc Alloy Handlebar
The Good

Light, incredible vibration damping, looks good

The Bad

None really, maybe price but this is handmade so I get the price

Overall Review
I've ridden carefully chosen carbon bars for years now and when Easton launched their latest Havoc it was a no brainer. Light, strong and incredibly forgiving, sucking up negative energy on the trail. I have the Haven on my trail bike as well with the same positive results. It's one of the few bars I trust after instant failure on a aluminum bar a few years back.
