Bell Full-9 Fusion MIPS Full Face Helmet
Vital Review
Overall Review
Bell has been in the helmet game since 1954, when Roy Richter founded the company and launched the iconic 500 helmet. To put that in perspective, that’s about one year after the invention of the first helmet to feature a hard outer shell coupled with a shock absorbing interior, developed in 1953 by Professor C.F. Lombard of University of South California. Bell would go on to become a major player in the head protection game, the company is for example credited with the introduction of the first full face motorcycle helmet for on and off road use in 1971. Fast-forward to today, and Bell is...

Bell Sixer MIPS Helmet
The Good

Excellent sweat management system; great ventilation

The Bad

Can feel a little snug/tight on the head compared to some others

Overall Review
For years I've relied on a headband with a silicone sweat gutter to keep the salt out of my eyes while riding. This is the first helmet I've found that successfully keeps sweat out of my eyes (and off of my glasses) with no assistance. Bell nailed the ventilation, and the "Sweat Guide" padding actually does what it's supposed to do--wicks sweat out away from your forehead to a point where it can drip harmlessly in front of your glasses. Really impressed by this, so if you're a sweaty rider or spend a lot of time in hot climates, the Sixer is worth a look. The fit does feel a little more tight...

Bell Super Helmet
The Good

fits a variety of head sizes, light, well ventilated, holds goggles in place

The Bad

the retention knob can hit your backpack or back on super steep trails and loosen up.

Overall Review
Overall this is a great helmet and I'm surprised that Bell discontinued it with the release of the Super DH. The new half shell they they're replacing it with doesn't look nearly as good in my opinion either. I'd recommend trying to find these on close out and buy a few. They come in MIPS if thats your jam too. The way goggles fit under the visor is one of the best features in my opinion. It works really well. Goggles stay in place, they don't get foggy and the helmet stays ventilated when they're up off your eyes. The only issue I've had (and only on the earliest version) is the retention...

Bell Super DH Helmet
Vital Review
Overall Review
Just a few years ago we were all wrapped up in full body amor and burly helmets while racing our downhill bikes. Today's enduro-craze has us racing and riding the same trails at the same speeds on smaller bikes with less protection. Seems odd, doesn't it? Enter the convertible helmet – one where you can go from something suitable for trail riding and climbing to full-on downhill gnar with the flip of a few clasps – as a solution to keep us all protected. Riders who can only afford one helmet or those who want to climb without the airflow restrictions of a dedicated full face will be pleased...

Bell Super 2R Helmet
The Good

Versatile, half shell is the Bell Super, MIPS, ventilation, protection, ease of use, extra confidence for every trail.

The Bad

Looks great as a half shell, only ok without.

Overall Review
By now we all know the story. The Bell Super 2R is a convertible helmet that doesn't pass the downhill safety test. Listen, if you wear this as a downhill helmet, you have more than a lab safety test to worry about. If however, you want a helmet with a bit more protection and confidence to go that extra bit faster down some rowdier trails, then this is a perfect helmet. I've had it for two seasons and here's what I love about it. All of the extra protection comes at zero compromise. The chinbar fits in my helmet stow compartment in my pack and I never notice it while riding. The half shell is...

Bell Full-9 Helmet
The Good

Good Fit, Lighter Weight, Nice Features, Good Goggle Room, Magnetic Removable Cheek Pads, ICEdot Enabled

The Bad

Creaking Noise, A Bit Warm

Overall Review
I was excited to get a new helmet after my last one took a good hit causing the carbon to crack in the chin guard area. I wanted to get something a bit different and compared many models online before biting the bullet on the Full 9. As a person who has had many concussions in the past, I look for a safe helmet that does not break the bank. Some of the Highlights Include: Good fit Lighter weight option Works well with Leatt brace Magnetic removable cheek pads for emergencies ICEdot enabled Good fitment with goggles Integrated GoPro mount The Details: There are many options when it comes to...
