Deathgrip Flangeless race thick enduro-specific grip

Rating: Featured Member Review
The Good:

Feature placement is on-point 3mm single clamp size, compound and color options

The Bad:

not as much outer palm padding as some soft ends get chewed up fast (duh) soft compound wears fast (duh)

Overall Review:

Bought the grip for the location of the features and it did not disappoint. Mushroom inner for max comfort, Ruffian outer for max control and waffles under to keep your hands on when the claw sets in. I've not have good luck keeping other 2.5mm single clamps from spinning when bunny-hopping or other trials moves, but these 3mm bolt single clamps are solid and it's nice to let my hand hang off the end without a clamp digging in.

Even with the soft compound and thick diameter it's not as damped as say an ODI Rouge, mostly due to the lack of squish under the outer bit of palm. however, with the features I felt like I could relax my grip a bit compared to the Rouges, saving on long rough runs.

The waffles mean you'll need some dirt on them to roll your hand for popper tables, but it's not

Only "negatives" is that the soft compound has worn flat on the top outside after ~6 months use and the ends are getting chewed up from indiscriminately laying my bike down. Both related to a strong positive, so I can't fault them for it.

Great trail or DH grip, lots of size, compound and color options. The wife is stoked on her blue pair but I think I'll try something with a bit more under the outer palms and no waffles next time. Maybe some meatypaws, I hear they feel better than a cold can of natty.
