Bontrager has this rad little preset torque wrench to keep ham-fisters like myself safe when building up bikes with sensitive parts. The handy litle gizmo is preset to 5Nm, which is a common torque setting for cockpit pieces and comes in a 4mm allen or T25 Torx configuration. As you tighten a bolt, the tool "clicks" when the appropriate torque setting is reached, preventing over-tightening. $20.99 could save you a lot in more ways than you can imagine.

Agree. I bought mine, got it home, and only then realized my bike needed 5mm. My LBS rescued me - they told me to heat the bit, which melted the adhesive, and then pull it out. I did, and now any bit with a 1/4" drive end will fit in the slot.

the allen bit does slide out of the one i have. i'm able to put other bits from a drill/screwdriver system in the wrench, too. the bontrager description doesn't really indicate that interchangeability, however, and the 5Nm torque setting is not going to be universal for every bolt, ya know?

Hmm... cool idea, but how about interchangeable bits? Why only 4mm allen OR T25 torx? Seems like it would be simple enough to equip it with the normal hex bit system found on multi-bit screwdrivers.
