Atomik Magnetic Drive Rear Hub - FredLikesTrikes - Mountain Biking Pictures - Vital MTB

Atomik will be among the first brands to bring a magnetic hub to market, though it'll initially be offered on the road side only. It uses a ratchet system similar to the one found in DT Swiss hubs, offering 36 points of engagement. The ratchets are engaged via magnetic force instead of a spring, which reduces drag compared to traditional designs. Atomik is working to increase the points of engagement in the future.
