e*thirteen was showing off their new LG1r carbon downhill wheel set, which features a mega-slick integrated cassette. Without the need for a cassette driver, e*thirteen was able to space the spoke flanges out even wider which is said to build up a stiffer and stronger rear wheel as well as save a little extra weight.

With some 28mm wide, light but robust carbon hoops and the weight savings of not having to incorporate a traditional cassette driver, the 650b LG1r wheel set comes in at only 1,885g, and if the reports we’ve heard that Gwin has been running the same set all season, they should be plenty durable. The new wheel set is available now and retails for $1,698 USD.

Stay tuned for our in-depth review on the LG1r wheels, dropping soon.
