By default you are now a #hashtagger :D There are alternatives. But what interests me is have ENVE stopped supporting him? That's usually why you de-sticker products.
There was a video out last year, two years ago?, where Bryceland tore apart a wheel and the team said that they were "Experimenting wit spoke tension." In reality, the nipples just tore out of the rim. It was obvious on video. Obvious in person. I like the idea of carbon. But not if it doesn't hold up under stress.
Maybe it was a prototype though. Maybe it was just a failure like you say, but that doesn't mean they are all going to do that. Racing at the top level will always push products, particularly wheels, to the limit. And there is a tonne of footage of alloy wheels exploding as well.
Well stated. But I've been building and riding aluminum wheels for decades and none have ever acted like Josh's (Which is my name too for the record.) in that instance. I think that I ripped out two consecutive spokes once on a particularly bad case. One would think that Enve would have a bit more of a clue after so many years. Perhaps we would go back to steel and put up with a few dents?
I think you are reading too much into it. But honestly I think my eyes would bleed if they put any more colour on this. Amazing craftsmanship and I admire the skill and time involved in that paint job, but I'm really not a fan of the colour scheme. Sorry I think it's awful.

Did anyone else notice the sealant spewing from his rear tire?

Maybe he's running some super secret proto rim? He still has an Enve decal on the rear triangle. Or maybe he's running a set of Light Bicycle rims?

We're all tired of waiting for the trickle down effect. Better blank than broke.

Enve rims are out of reach for most consumers. If I was a hash tagger, I'd say #expensive.

Good point. Though I'm not a Twitterer. Perhaps he's tired of pulling out spokes like Bryceland?

I haven't heard about that from Bryceland.

Perhaps, but i I were ENVE I would be pissed a supported rider had a photo shoot without decals on rims. Unless they were no longer supported .

That's a good point, maybe they couldn't make his custom stickers in time...

Maybe they have custom decals, but they didn't arrive in time. Maybe you should believe me. They are very much still supporting the Syndicate.
