That is fresh.

At least he (or the photographer) took the time to make his crankarms and pedals line up parallel with the ground AND put the chain into an asthetically pleasing gear allowing the rear derailleur to ease off the bike at an angle that's not hard on the eyes.

They only do that in the pro ranks-so take note when you kids take pictures of your clapped out Kona Stinky's leaning up against your older brother's primer gray Camero sitting out in the weeds next to your parents house.

Just make certain the stickers on your rims and the wording on your tires match up. It's obvious this photo was taken in haste, probably had to get back to practice quick or something.

Bonus, in that he's kneeling ala MBAction. When you stand you create a tangent that doesn't flow with the length of the bike.

Note: Kneeling is seen as submissive when on both knees. Notice he only has one knee on the ground like they make you do in Basic Training, 'take a knee!'

Wow... my favorite rider of all time. A bit of a shock to see him off of Santa Cruz. But Mark deserves serious recognition. Hopefully Cannondale will help deliver.

Well it's good that he found a place that will keep him at the races then. The type of events he does are going to help grow competetive mountainbiking. It does look like he's got himself a light, capable bike to race on.

I just hope than shock gets him to the finish line. He's run coil suspension on his Nomad even at races like Ashland which is 5" bike nirvana.

I could understand using a pull shock if it somehow allowed to use a unique suspension design or drame shape. But the C Dale looks so similar to the old Scott, it just has a link pulling the shock instead of pushing on it. Same pivot points, and same shock location.

Well if that's the real case, and not just e-heresay, then good on Weir for finding a new, and friendlier home. So long as he doesn't end up skinnier than Tinker it's all good.

I have to agree with Surfwax. It's like taking the cool, kinda punk kid that everyone is slightly affraid of. Who drives to High School in his slightly beatup, but kinda awesome primer black pickup truck that has become an integral part of his image and then taking that away from him and handing him the keys to a yellow Xterra with a vanity plate.
Then to add insult to injury, his dad takes out an ad in the back of his senior yearbook with his picture and instead of it saying 'Here's a photo of our beloved son Mark, off-roading in his 4x4' it say's 'Here's a photo of our beloved son Mark, Over-Dirting in his All-Wheel drive on his way to pick up some groceries.'

no more pull shocks PLEAAASSEE, they dont work and will never be as good as a normal shock for the abuse bikes are put through now

Guessing you weren't around 10 years ago for the Rockshox coil pullshocks on the GT Lobo, and the Yeti Straight 8. This is Cannondale trying hard just to be different. And especially be different that the Scott, that was nearly identical otherwise, since C Dale hired the Scott guy to build this bike. Mert Lawwill of Yeti engineering at the time thought that there would be less friction on the shock but it turned out to be a PITA to build. They first built it so there was no need for a pressurized floating piston to further reduce friction but then due to heat expansion it would blow up. A resivoir was added, then at that point it was just like a regular shock, just far more complicated.

Pull shocks just strike me as weird... and food for thought, why not make a spring pull shock? it would be identical to normal shocks, just with the exception of the spring seat design...

Was Santa Cruz dumb enough to let him go or was Cannondale smart enough to hire him? Good move for C Dale.

I wonder if that's a Fox seatpost. He's been on Gravity Dropper for years.
