Time for some bikes squished to the max! The original G-Out Project started right here in Bootleg Canyon some 5 years ago with pro downhillers. For our most recent affair, we decided to see how the average Joe handles the ups-and-downs of Bootleg during Outdoor Demo at Interbike. Check out a the most modern (and sometimes bizarre) mountain bikes getting squished to the max.

Keep in mind these photos represent an accurate cross section of typical forum experts..Mismatched and unnecessary protective gear coupled with a mix of baggy and lycra "kit", overstuffed backpack for a 1/4mile loop, elbows down, ass out, 4fingering the brake levers..."Dude that new (insert name of latest 10k$ bike) is sooo sick, It really soaks up the big hits!"

I don't think that's entirely correct. It does represent a typical cross section of outdoor demo participants who have tasted the koolaide and are looking for their first highend steed or want to test-drive a highend bike they've always wanted, but I don't think it represents typical forum folk. There are a surprising amount of legit experts, industry folks, and pros that peruse forums; a much higher number than you might think. Some sit silently and read and some post often, but from experience, I can tell you that this slideshow is in no way an accurate representation of forum folks.

Alright, I gotcha. Yeah, you're probably right that 97% post on MTBR, but fortunately 97% of MTBR are not that class of rider, despite what it may seem at times, which is the point I was making.

Funny comment, but it looks like a number of those guys are bike shop owners testing potential buys and shop dudes. I dig that some are out of their element and open to riding outside their comfort zone.
