That flex makes for a softer landing. As long as they just flex and don't break, which I've never heard of, all is good. Flex is not always the enemy. See inverted forks, or just ask Nico. It's better than blisters from a 40.

Flex for some dampening is often welcomed. But flex that results in overloaded bushings and seals causing interrupted or no travel, is not.
