Specialized recently introduced us to their new Summer 2014 mountain bike apparel lineup. From XC to DH, they now offer purpose built gear for every riding style.
SWAT apparel allows you to carry all the essentials without a pack (beer not included).
The concept is similar to the pockets on a road jersey, but lets you wear a more comfortable jersey. A snug compression fit makes it so your stored items don’t bounce around.
Specialized's Zee Cage II complements SWAT apparel, providing room for a bottle and a small EMT Cage Mount compartment with a multi-tool.
SWAT apparel includes a bib short, full zip vest, and men's/women's shorts.
To complete the SWAT package, nestled inside the steerer tube is a Top Cap Chain Tool and spare quick-link.
The Atlas line offers a tailored fit and high-breathability.
Bonded seams and laser perforated venting are nice touches.
DWR coating keeps the elements at bay.
A stash pocket with optics wipe can be found on every jersey.
The Enduro line is best suited to all-mountain riders and enduro racers, offering high mobility and a more durable fabric. The Women's Andorra gear shown here carries many of the same features.
As you compare Specialized's various apparel ranges, the fabric choices and qualities make perfect sense.
A dual snap with velcro ensures shorts will stay buttoned up. This is just one of many smart features carried through all the shorts.
The rear "action back panel" and a four-way stretch material make the Demo line some of the most easily pedal-able shorts we've tried to date.
Laser perforated venting keeps you cool when lift days get hot.
Pockets are placed on top of leg on most shorts.

Description
Specialized’s apparel lineup is new and greatly improved for 2014. They’re offering gear targeted to different riders and riding styles, and should have something for everyone.

An in-house apparel lab allows them to create and test new designs for fit and fabric testing. What you see here is a culmination of a few years of hard work. Breathable VaporRize moisture transfer knit fabrics are used throughout the line, helping to wick moisture off the skin. DWR coating on the shorts helps to keep the elements at bay, as does the DeflectUV 30 (jerseys) and 50+ (shorts) when you’re in the sun.

SWAT Apparel

SWAT apparel allows you to ditch the pack and still carry the essentials. The concept is similar to the pockets on a road jersey, but lets you wear a more comfortable jersey. A snug compression fit makes it so your stored items don’t bounce around. SWAT bib shorts highlight the collection with two quad pockets and three back pockets that give quick access to anything you’re carrying. The back pockets are sewn into a flap that prevent your shorts from getting pulled down. Specialized’s Body Geometry chamois brings their road knowledge to MTB, but with a thinner, denser pad with less of a diaper feel. A full-length zip vest and men’s/women’s shorts are also offered for those not wanting the full bib.

Atlas Apparel

Made for trail riders, this collection has a roomy yet tailored fit with an ultra-light feel and maximum breathability.

Women’s Andorra Apparel

- Two short styles

- Jersey stash pocket with optics wipe

- Zippered short pockets

Demo Apparel

Tested and refined by Pro gravity athletes like Matt Hunter and the Coastal Crew, the Demo gear offers a high stretch design that pedals better than just about anything we’ve tested in its class. The fabric is highly abrasion resistant and should hold up to the rigors of the sport’s most demanding big-bike terrain.
