That shot of Enrico captures the essence of the EWS in a nutshell. Passion produces great events.

    ah ha!
Well everyone was super tight lipped about the "racer" - I kinda assumed it was him, but wasn't 100% sure.

he's on flats in the urban prologue (check pic # 6 in the prologue slideshow) and it looks like it here when i zoomed in on sven's original, plus his foot is off-center on the one pedal. how sick is that? flats to 4th place?

Not exactly the same but it reminds me of Squaw Valley WC '99 when everyone was geeking out on data acquisition being the next big thing in DH racing... Then the next day some no one named Kovarick got 2nd to Vouilloz on a stock 6" Lobo wearing vans sneakers.

Barel running some proto rear shock under that hood or one from a different manufacturer that offer more adjustment? Or is it just a bag of snacks?

Bag 'o snacks for sure. Gotta keep those energy levels up. The new Clif Suspend Bar - the subtle nutrition to keep your momentum.

this is awesome. great coverage sven. now if you can get down the hill to get it up within 4 hours of the coverage on PB you'll be in business - maybe don't stop for those post-race beach beers....

getting the real story during post race beers is better then catering to a websight full of 11 year olds who cant drink and still think a vp free is the best bike evar. i will wait the 4 hours

Agreed. Quality > timeliness. Great coverage, Sven. Are you going to be covering the rest of the EWS for Vital as well?
