Ainsa has been my favorite event this far for so many reasons. The passionate people really made this event special. Luckily none one lost a limb on the podium as Richie was handed his "trophy" - a live and running chainsaw!! -Sven Martin
Richie Rude!!! Three wins in a row! bEast Coast powerhouse. -Sven Martin
Richie Rude started this morning full gas. His throttle got stuck on Stage 5 and he had a near-eject off on a huck-to-flat but held it together for a 12th spot on the stage. -Sven Martin
Consistent, confident racing from Tracy Moseley paid off again this weekend. She only has to finish at Finale to wrap up the series -Duncan Philpott
The neutral tech zone caters for all riders. -Duncan Philpott
That #1 plate will stay on Tracy Moseley's bike until the end of the season. -Duncan Philpott

The morning light couldn't have contrasted more with the havoc of the storm in the afternoon. -Duncan Philpott
Yoann Barelli started the day on a roll with a 2nd on Stage 5. Low and fast on the razor's ridge set him up for his second 2nd place overall in an EWS. He did twist his knee in the next stage but managed to hang on to the 2nd spot. -Sven Martin
A second podium for Yoann Barelli this season despite tweaking his knee during the final day of racing. -Duncan Philpott
Martin Maes stoked with his first stage win this season. Absolutely smashing the short Stage 5, winning by two seconds on a one-minute twenty-second stage. -Sven Martin

Sven, standing exactly where the timing equipment was two minutes earlier. -Duncan Philpott

Hannah Barnes is from Bonnie Scotland, so this was just a normal days ride for her. -Sven Martin
Washing out riding the inside line 'round a turn, Nico Lau cracked out his best result of the season so far for a 4th place with a stage win on Stage 6. -Duncan Philpott
Once the rain really set in, the track was almost impassible. -Duncan Philpott
Camera dust consumption in 3, 2, 1! Jared kicked up the biggest roost in this turn on his way to winning Stage 7. -Duncan Philpott
Isabeau Courdurier with another podium backing up her Whistler performance. 3rd place with her best result, a 2nd on Stage 6. -Sven Martin
There was a course hold during Stage 8 before the storm moved in while the organizers repaired the catch-netting that stopped racers from plummeting off a cliff. Cunny surprised the media squids team with some refreshments. -Sven Martin
For such an arid venue, standing water is quite a common occurrence on the tracks -Duncan Philpott
A big man, fully compressed on big wheels, Francois Billy-Maitre trying to work the ground for every last bit of speed for a respectable 7th overall. -Duncan Philpott
Raewyn Morrison had a dream race here in Spain. 5th place for this Kiwi privateer from Nelson. It's not easy or cheap committing to a full season and living out of a van for six months. Hopefully some help will be coming her way next year. -Sven Martin
The rain came down and Joe Smith, one of the only guys on flat pedals, had the upper hand. -Duncan Philpott
Meanwhile Matti Lehikoinen fell ill of the slick surface and cross-rutted to crash -Duncan Philpott

Andréane Lanthier Nadeau managed to make it past the first stage, unlike her K.O. in Whistler at the previous round. She fought to a well-deserved 4th place in the Women's class. -Duncan Philpott
Some interesting facts from the Junior podium. Scott's Amaury Pierron would have finished 16th overall in Elite and had the third-fastest Stage 3 time, only a second off Richie. He was also 13th at World Champs in Elite as a first year and 12th at Val Di Sole. -Sven Martin
