I don't see why they should change, this bike is probably the most successful bike in the history of the sport, it has a shitton of wins and even more podiums to its name. It even won in PMB last year, where 650b was considered a great advantage.

I agree 100%, but when working with carbon the bikes they race need to be the bikes they sell, and somehow the industry has convinced the high-end market that every new bike needs 650b wheels, so companies have to balance what the team guys want with want the market demands. I think it makes a strong argument for custom alloy team bikes ala GT, giving them complete control over what they race with no concern for market demands. Think about it, should we as consumers actually be riding what a WC pro races on? I can't ride nearly as fast as them, so why would I need the same bike?

Current V-10 has been around for a bit and their whole lineup is moving that way. Gotta assume the next version will be 650 with some influence from the new Nomad (longer front ends, lower bb, maybe shorter chainstay, not sure if headangle needs to go slacker but they might just to stay 'current').

Last WC win on 26". Dunno. Don't think so.

Gee is not all to 'stable' on the 650b Fury. Maybe would be better to return to the 26" beast (which won World Cups, World Champs, Rampage etc...) But hey, marketing will never allow him.
