SRAM Wireless Shifting and Derailleur 2

SRAM's Red eTap road drivetrain ditches the cables and gets all futuristic with wireless electronic shifting. It's pretty light, too. Could the technology make its way into mountain biking? We don't see a reason why not. Check it out in action below:
A complete road groupset will cost you $2,758 USD (2,691 EUROS). If that price tag scares you, consider the bonus ability to hack the system to play Space Invaders. Pretty neat!

SRAM once again pokes Shimano squarely in the eyehole with drivetrain innovation. Poor Shimmy!
