Five Ten's Kestrel shoe was introduced earlier this year as a premium all-mountain and racing clipless shoe. Building on the same platform, the Kestrel Lace is about 15% less stiff than the Kestrel, thanks to a nylon shank. As its name indicates, a lace system takes the place of the Boa of the original Kestrel, while other small changes include a perforated upper. The Kestrel Lace is intended to be a slightly more versatile shoe than the original Kestrel. It will be available in spring 2016, and will retail for $150 USD.

The Kestrel Lace will be available in 2 colors for the men's model (above), and 2 colors for the women's specific shoe (shown below). The women's specific shoes are built around a smaller volume last, and feature adjusted padding intended to provide a snug fit on smaller feet.

A long-standing model in the Five Ten clipless line-up, the Maltese Falcon clipless shoe gains a new upper construction for 2016 while staying competitive at $130 MSRP.
